Downham Market High School and College is a large, friendly and positive community where learning is at the heart of all we do.
We are passionately committed to our fantastic students who bring a diverse range of talents and experiences from a wide area of West Norfolk and beyond.
Our incredibly talented students are our biggest asset; their open and caring approach and amazing array of skills, interests and talents mean they make our School an enjoyable and fascinating place to study. During their learning journey with us, through our academic and extra-curricular programmes, our students develop into rounded individuals ready to take on the challenges and rewards of their exciting future.
Our committed and hardworking staff have the best interests of the students at heart, and work closely with the parents, the community and other professionals to ensure we make our students’ formative years the best they can be.
Having enjoyed a good reputation for many years, the School has had a brief period of challenge, it is now however firmly back on track to provide the education that our wonderful students deserve.
Our two sites mean we have the luxury of a separate Sixth Form College site with its own character and distinctly academic atmosphere; however we ensure there are many opportunities for our older students to lead and support others.
As we prepare for the next step in the School’s history with a move to become an Academy, we are already planning the next step in our Community’s learning journey and we look forward to making it in full consultation and partnership with all stakeholders.
