In Downham Market College, we have a centre for Sixth Form learning, which is outstanding. The  College has an atmosphere that is unique, with its spacious buildings and facilities.

Being a Sixth Form of over two hundred students, we can offer a very wide range of AS/A2 and Vocational courses with a proven record of success.

Over recent years, our Sixth Form students have achieved tremendous results. Since 2002 the overall pass rate in Year 13 has always been above 97% with around 38 – 40% of entries resulting in grades A & B. Students are equally successful at applied subjects, where we have established a reputation as one of the leading Sixth Form providers of vocational courses, with over half our Advanced grades being either Merit or Distinction.

We continue to invest heavily in facilities for students. In addition to a programme of continual IT improvement students enjoy sole use of a cafeteria, common room, learning resource centre, library and spacious, well maintained grounds.

Cars and parking

Students driving their own car to school are required to park their cars in the Howdale car park located off Howdale Road.   Please be aware that the school has no responsibility for this car park.  Students are strongly encouraged to take proper precautions over the safety of their car and its contents

16 -19 Bursary Fund

The new 16-19 Bursary fund is designed to help support those young people who face the greatest barriers to continuing in education or training post 16. Bursary funds may be used to pay for transport, meals, books and equipment.
