For the eleventh consecutive year, Downham Market College has successfully teamed up with the Engineering Enterprise Trust and placed four talented students in their scheme. This year, again supported by British Sugar at Wissington, students will be working on a "line" project with a British Sugar engineer.

During the last week of term, they will be taking part in a three-day residential course to plan and develop a prototype design that will - hopefully - be adopted by the factory.  Through the scheme, students gain a valuable insight into the rôle of Engineering within the workplace and benefit from expert guidance from the Company.
